Partnership Division of Surakarta City Secretariat is formed at January 2009. Formerly, its main duty and function was carried out by General Administration and Local Development Planning Board of Surakarta City.
With the increase of partnership-related tasks, both government and non-government institutions, domestic and foreign alike, The City Mayor of Surakarta signed City Mayor Regulations No. 09 year 2009 on The Implementation of Main Duty and Function and Working Procedures of Surakarta City Secretariat, Partnership Division to tackle partnership-related tasks.
